What are you most excited to do as GJCL Host the coming year?

I look forward to working with smaller GJCL delegations to increase their membership and state convention attendance. I am also excited to work with this hard-working and dedicated board to create the best state convention ever!!!

What do you like most about Latin?

Latin never fails to put a smile on my face! The language itself is beautiful and complex in a way that English is not. I think that it is incredible that authors were able to place words in certain orders to create word pictures and add emphasis to their stories and documents. This makes translating more difficult, but the final product is always intriguing and unique. While I am obsessed with the language, my most favorite part of Latin is the friendships it has brought me. I have been able to connect with JCLers all over Georgia and the country.

What is the best thing to do at Latin conventions?

That's an easy one...everything!

What do you find most difficult about learning Latin?

Vocabulary is my Achilles heel. I can tell you the word's declension or tense, voice, person, or mood before I can tell you what it means. What am I going to do without my Cambridge glossary in AP?!
